Tea Pot

So here is a fun decor, grab some things you have at home (silver bucket:antique find, tea pot:Lenox) and just input the seasonal item. So for easter, found these adorable stick egg tree's at target for .99, yes .99! Talk about some cheap decor.

Have I mentioned how much I love tea pots, tea cups, anything tea! And they can serve as adorable decor. More on that later, as that should be a post in itself.

So now for some home decor...Love orchids, but people often say how demanding they are. Well yes, there are easier plants to care for but, I have a successful tip for these: Ice! Yes, ice. Feed them a few cubes of ice every other day. Orchids cannot have too much water, and not too little, so a few melted ice cubes are just right. I created this decor myself  (pot: potterybarn, put 2 orchids). For this size I usually put 4-6 ice cubes.

Fun Read...

Obviously love Kate Spade, so had to get the book that just came out (Kate Spade Things We Love). Not only a great read, but serves as some adorable decor. As mentioned before the right books are great to decorate the home! So aside form the coffee table, or trays, they also look great on some indoor garden stools. These ceramic elephants are my favorite! I got them at a small home boutique in Miami about 2 years ago, unfortunately the store closed shortly after. I have not seen them since, other than in home decor magazines.

Store Opening...

So today a Jcrew opened 2 minutes from my house. Of course planned a dinner date with a friend to go check it out. I could not be more excited, the other one in Miami is in a busy mall, and not by my house so I often resorted to ordering online. Although open 24/7, going to the store is often times better. The best part its across from Anthropologie, my 2 fav stores right next to each other, this should make for some quick trips to the mall!

Mexico City...

So I've been away on business and did not get a chance to post. Had a great time in Mexico City, gorgeous city and great food. Best part, I was able to squeeze in some shopping at the end of the trip! Here are some of my finds....they had great necklaces. Also had some great finds for the home, will have to show these in a later post. (As you might have remembered in a previous post, my tiny carry own goes with me on most trips, well this time it kind of backfired, I needed my co-worker to help me bring a few things back, feel in love with too many large items, will be collecting my items tomorrow at work. )

So my best advice when traveling for business internationally:

There are often times when you are too caught up with work and have no chance to hit the stores. In this case, the best thing to take away are the style and home magazines that you cannot find back home. On this trip I found, Vogue Mexico,  Elle Mexico and CR Fashion Book. Difference perspectives, different market targeted and great style ideas!

Out with the old, in with the new...

So these fabulous kitchen towels are calendars! Anthropologie has them every year. Last year it was one towel, this year the months are split between three towels. Useful and an adorable kitchen decor!

Getting ready for the new year....

Today I went out to stock up on some new workout cloths. Similar to many, a new years resolution to stay fit and healthy! Here are my purchases from lululemon, one of my favorite places to purchase workout gear.

I put these hangers (anthro) in the master bedroom. One on my side, one on my husbands. Adorable and so convenient to hang our cloths at night for work the next day, making the morning much easier and more time for snoozing in bed.
