After a great thanksgiving yesterday and plenty of food, today I went back to Highlands to walk around. Ended up back at Rosenthals, and got some new great finds. Sometimes it takes going around the store twice to notice some fabulous items and not to mention getting a great deal given today!

I'm going back to some home decor to show you all the fabulous thanksgiving table my mother put together...of course with my help. 

My trick on this one: Mason Jars. Found at the local grocery store in North Carolina, these things can be decorate with just about anything, leaves, flowers, candles, pines. Mix some with items, and some with just the candle.

Today I went to my favorite boutique in the world...Rosenthals. This place has absolutely faboulous finds from favorite designers. All carefully handpicked pieces. Coral, the sales associate, is always there to help and her fabulous taste of course picks the pieces that look best on my mom and I. I hope to go back before this trip comes to an end...

Okay, so it's my last day in Chicago. As soon as I got out of work, I walked over to the Bean before I had to head to the airport. You will see, jacket, shoes and purse are the same as previous post...Travel Smart! 4 days in the cold weather and all I needed was a carry-on, as you know now a days with a carry-on they are stricter than ever on the size. Whats the trick: same color scheme so shoes, jacket and bag match all!

What was in my bag: Bag (big enough for a laptop and work items, and useful enough for a purse while hitting the streets) Black Pumps (for work) black ballet flats (in case your feet need a break from the heals) Black pants with colorful top, black skirt w/tights and white top, black dress w/tights. Unfortunately, was not able to snap some pics in these outfits, but work outfit pics will be coming soon. Jeans used on plane and for going around the city after work, boots of course to keep you warm and same coat you were able to wear for work.

Okay so I was born and raised in Miami, Florida; cold weather only means a sweater. Yet, this winter I can take advantage....in Chicago and loving the weather....I can finally use some winter clothes, and yes the weather forecast is behind me.
